A conference on South Pacific Constitutions and the Rule of Law will be held on Wednesday 7 December at the Fale Pasifika. This immediately follows the Pacific Islands Law Officers Network (PILON) meeting. PILON delegates, comprising the Attorneys-General, Solicitors-General and Directors of Public Prosecution of Pacific states, will be in attendance at the Conference. Others who will be attending include New Zealand lawyers and law students, New Zealand-based Pacific judges and others who are interested in and who practice law in the Pacific. On Thursday, 23 February 2012, we will be holding a conference at the Stamford Plaza Hotel, Auckland, on Corporate, Financial Markets and Financial Services Regulation. Presenters include Sean Hughes, Sue Brown and Simon Allen of the FMA; commercial commentators Brian Gaynor, Simon Botherway (ANZ), Scott St John (First NZ Capital), Jack Regan (AMP) and Graeme Edwards (ASB Bank); and the legal perspective will be given by Glen Joblin and Jesse Wilson (Bell Gully), Nick Williams (Meredith Connell) Nathanael Starrenburg (Harmos Horton Lusk), Tracey Cross (DLA Phillips Fox) and Pip Greenwood (Russell McVeagh).
