Writing prize winners announced, and an update on our conference programme |
external genitalia anatomyOur AGM on 21st May was a great success, with the announcement of our 2007 writing prize winners. To read who our winners are, please see the writing awards page. We are most grateful to our three adjudicators for their tireless work, and to Amokura Kawharu, our executive council member responsible for coordinating the awards. Also at the AGM the Foundation conferred an Honorary Fellowship on Professor John Burrows. Professor Burrows was presented with a handsome scroll, and delivered a very interesting address reflecting on 40 years as a legal academic. The Foundation is involved in two conferences in August and September. We have offered the Foundation's support to the New Zealand Governance Centre, set up by Professor John Farrar and others at the University of Auckland Business School. Please take the time to look at the flyer above. The second conference, Human Rights at the Frontier, is a conference on immigration planned for Friday 12 September. This full day conference will be held at the University of Auckland Law School, and speakers include leading academics in the field from New Zealand and Australia. Registrations are filling fast, so be sure to secure your place at this very topical conference by emailing Barbara Relph.
